Perry Challenges Cain on Abortion

Whoever wins the 2012 presidential election will do so on their plan to get jobs and the economy moving again. But the winner of the Republican presidential nomination may just come down to the person who can convince social conservatives he or she is the best candidate for the GOP.
So when Herman Cain gave a muddled and murky, socially liberal answer to the abortion question, his opponents pounced. Texas Governor Rick Perry may have hit the former Godfather’s Pizza CEO the hardest.
“It is a liberal canard to say I am personally pro-life, but government should stay out of that decision,” Perry said. “That is not pro-life, that is pro-having-your-cake-and-eating-it-too.”
Herman Cain’s blunt, straight talk has launched him to the top of the Republican polls. But as the vetting process goes deeper and deeper, it may cost Cain the nomination as well.

Conservatives need to wake up.
Cain isn’t ready to govern.
