The moderation on this giving Perry , Romney, so much time to battle really was only overshadowed by the softball questions asked of the others leaving me wondering why they invited more than two. Another total disgrace is the lack of time given to Ron Paul and the choice to leave him out of issues he knows most about. School lunches really ??

Mitt Romney came off as smart, but so did Huntsman, with Bachman I was counting how many times she said Obama, I am a female, but she is not my representative

Barack Obama won tonight’s debate. When the biggest applause of the night goes to a man who is defending the 234 people he has executed, a mantle of shame hangs over all the Republican candidates.

I’m for Ron Paul. He’s THE ONLY ONE WHO IS SANE. The rest are either warmongers or ponzi-scheme dreamers for welfare. Mind you, I don’t want ANY medicare and social sec. cut or even touched if they don’t shut down the military industrial complex and prison complex!

I don’t think Obama won a darn thing tonight. He’s had 4 years and we are on life support.

    • September 7, 2011

I know it seems much longer, but Obama has only been in office for 2 1/2 years.

Well said Rini, And I think the Ron Paul comprimise is brilliant. He will consider a billion spent on hurricane relief for every two billion taken out of the military industrial complex. So many of these jokers pretend that we don’t have to chose between guns and butter.

Ron Paul is the only one who understands states’ rights. The others would all use the federal government to advance their own agendas, rather than let the states make their own decisions.

Wow, what a biased debate! Perry and Romney got to talk as much as all the other candidates put together. And why didn’t they ask Ron Paul about the issues he’s most clear about.

They talked about the medical system – RP is a physician but didn’t get a question.
They talked about the FED – RP has been against the FED since it began but didn’t get a question regarding it! (and the others are only parroting him).
And there were almost no questions regarding foreign policy.

Btw I’m not even an american, but you people have to wake up and vote for the man who actually knows what he’s talking about! What you are doing affects the rest of the world!

ditto: the only time they did ask him a question, they would change it up from what everyone else got to answer and then they would put a twist on it to try and marginalize him – starving kids… come on… and brian williams interrupting with that quip about “good luck at LAX..” what an @ss – no respect

You stated your comment well my friend. Ron Paul would be the best thing that has happened to the USA since…, well, since 1776!

NY Times posted a transcript of the debate, yet purposely left out the “funny” Brian Williams made about LAX. What does that say? Even NY Times saw the shame of that petty humor. Brian Williams – you lost my respect. Weasel.

Ron Paul is THE only person on that entire line-up that knows what he’s talking about.

Did anyone catch the “gallon of gas for a dime” line? He initially got ignored (of course) but Dr. Paul continued later and said you could buy it with a silver dime. PERFECT.

That is something to think about. Think hard on that one.

Michelle Bachsmann wa the clear loser. Her answers were shallow and lacking substance. Her face looked too big. probably the end of her campaign.

Huntsman won the VP spot on the ticket tonight.

I am so excited that I have so many choices. I don’t know enough about all of the candidates to make an educated choice yet. I really liked Romney, Perry, Santorum & Bauchman. That doesn’t mean I agree with everything they say, it just means I think they all have potential for president or vp. However, I am educated enough about our current president to know I will vote for any of the republican candidates before voting for him.

Tonight served to remind us all how bought and owned the mainstream media and their puppet talking heads are for billing this blatant Rick Perry promotion as National Debate. BS.

Do keep in mind that both the Left and Right Parties are owned and operated by the Banksters. The banksters and wall street are up in arms bcs none of their LIBERAL RIGHT CONSTITTION-LESS IDIOTS called NEOCONS (ie; Warmongers) live up to the polls numbers against Obama!

Explain to me how a super congress is consitutional by leaving out 99% of our elected representatives and Senators and allowing our Congress ONLY a simple up or down vote ?????? How is this constitutional? How is an Exec Order to PARTIALLY wipe out a law that only Congress can pass or repeal, constitutional??? These Neocons are LOSERS! LIARS AND NOBODIES. But it will be YOUR fault or electing any one of them except for Ron Paul.

And if you don’t, you can at least remember what I wrote you hear when you are getting punched out, patted down, and violated by a Federalized cop, a Fema or Homeland Sec. Stasi spy. Wear a heavy collor to soften the jackboot!

The only one who wins against Obama in the polls is Ron Paul. Yet they ignore him and do everything they can to undermine him every chance they get! Proof will be in 2012 elections when up against anyone else BUT Ron Paul, Obama will be the winner!

Moronic, treasonous MSM! Moronic Holy Roller Tea Parties! Moron Communists who can ALWAYS be counted on to come up with the WRONG solution for a People’s problem! Moronic Fascists of the UN…. !! You UN Fascist Bankers… it’s the 7th time you attempt to take over this country for a global government so everyone is FChipped and Tatooed as your asset slaves and charged taxes from everything from breathing to farting.

YOU WILL NOT WIN AT THE END! MARK MY WORDS!

This debate was so transparent, it was laughable. The front runners are so weak, and the people of substance are ignored as much as possible. The only reason I even consider voting republican is for Ron Paul. Dr. Ron Paul has been true to the American people for years, he will do so when we get him in the White House.

I am not a Bachmann supporter, but I think she made one of the best comments of the night. Referring to Perry and Romney’s executive order to end Obamacare, she stated it would required Congressional approval. Candidates can promise anything, but the promises required approval from Congress. Presidents are not dictators.

Romney, Perry, and Bachmann all made major statements that were not factual.

It would have been more honest to have advised viewers in advance that this debate would be staged to show-case two contenders: Romney and Perry!

In spite of being limited in the time allowed to him, it was very clear that the participant with the best ideas for the country is HERMAN CAIN.

The title of the debate should have been “Being Ron Paul” because the other candidates, with the exception of creepy Rick Santorum, were trying so hard to out-Ron Paul each other. You know it’s the truth when Rick Perry utters “Keynesian economics.” Hilarious. Ron Paul is driving the issues in virtually all of their campaigns. It just doesn’t get any better.

Ron Paul at least got 12 minutes tonight in the debate.. He is the clear front runner based on the passion people actually have for him as a potential candidate, not just who gets the most airtime (airtime=special interests anyways)

True Ron Paul did not receive fair time and though he had decent answers and I personally agree with his domestic policies his presentation is all over the map, appearing more like a frustrated elderly man then the leader of the free world. John Huntsman had superior composer like that of a used car salesman. Herman Cain and Newt both appeared prepared and unwavering on there stances, both had plans that made since seemed confident and given 12 months time against a confused double talking incumbent would in my opinion secure a sound victory. Either mans superior intellect would more then make up for the current office holders fund raising abilities. Especially with his running mates (Oprah) semi retirement.

The thing to really pay attention to is, Who are the media outlets focussing their love fest on? Who are they striving to ignore? If the astute observer uses this as a litmus test, one will quickly begin to realize that it is NOT in the American peoples best intersts to be influenced by the media outlets opinions. They absolutely cannot get enough of Romney or Perry. Their love for these candidates is akin to the unfounded frenzy of attention Obama received by the more “liberal” media outlets during the 2008 elections. Who do they strive to ignore, Despite huge signs of voter support and backing? Ron Paul. To me, the choice is clear. I’m voting for the one guy that seems to intimidate the powers in control. Go Ron Paul!!!

I have to admit, I don’t think it is a good strategy for the Republicans candidates to becomes so divided amongst each other… that being said, I have to force myself to support Ron Paul as the winner of last night’s debate. I share the common concerns about Paul as a candidate for President, and these online polls seem infested with Paul supporters. But I honestly felt Paul won out last night by not giving in to the urge to pick fights. The one question he was forced to deal with about Rick Perry was interesting in that regard, but I felt he did a good job of not slandering him and instead made it about the principles of liberty and the free market. I myself am surprised to be backing Ron on this, because I share many common concerns about his elect-ability. His words are straight from the heart and the issues he raises about the value of liberty in society have captured me and seemingly many others also. Go Ron!

Ron Paul, regardless of time given to him by the “moderators”, clearly represents what this country needs. I don’t agree with everything he says, especially regarding some of the conspiracy theories he believes, but he is the most honest and straightforward politician I’ve ever seen. He will stand up against the pressures of Washington and do what’s right for the American people.

For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. - Ephesians 6: 12-13
