Poll Shows Obama Losing His Base

Baseless.
Conservatives are not the only ones upset the Obama administration’s economic policies,
The President’s own liberal base has become disenchanted as well.
Obama’s approval rating among liberals and African-Americans has plummeted of late.
“More than a third of Americans now believe that President Obama’s policies are hurting the economy, and confidence in his ability to create jobs is sharply eroding among his base,” the Post reports.
Strong support among liberal Democrats for Obama’s jobs record has plummeted 22 points from 53% down below a third. African Americans who believe the president’s measures helped the economy has plunged from 77% to barely half.
Obama’s overall job approval on the economy has slid below 40% for the first time, with 57% disapproving. And strong disapprovers outnumber approvers by better than two-to-one.
It appears that President Obama is taking a balanced approach to politics these days.
Alienating both Democrats and Republicans alike.

I really don’t think it is right or really that legal to hold the President of the United States hostage, by refusing to have moderate cuts in spending as well as modest tax increases. in agreement. You are the ones who should be held accountable for this mess. You knew what his plan was, and it was your plan to bring him down. That’s what this is about, and nothing else. To use political extortion is just unforgivable. Even if you conservatives win the election in 2012, you will still go down in history as immoral. It’s called terrorism and treason. I’m sorry, that is just dirty politics. You’re not fit to govern.
Hey Sue, it’s time for a little reality check.
Your argument is that if Congress does not do everything exactly the way Obama wants it, they are terrorists who are holding him hostage? But the Senate plan written by Harry Reid does not call for tax increases. Is he a terrorist holding the President hostage as well? The only person insisting that a compromise includes a tax increase is President Obama; the Senate and House understand that a tax increase right now would be very bad for the US economy.
Your argument is factually incorrect, demonstrates a misunderstanding of certain words in the English language (please look up the words terrorist, hostage, extortion and treason) and completely disregards the United States Constitution. You want to set up some sort of Kingdom where Obama rules unquestioned and the only purpose of Congress is to do his bidding. That’s not happening!
The need for hyper-demagoguery shows how badly you are grasping at straws. Rather than focusing on the facts you have to resort to name calling and insults. Compromise takes two partners. If President Obama wants the debt ceiling increased until after the 2012 election, he is going to have to cut the budget without raising taxes. That is both parties giving a little to get a deal done.
If President Obama continues with his my way or the highway attitude, the debt ceiling will not be raised. Simple enough.
On the positive side, I do agree with your assessment that conservatives will win in 2012. =)
