NYT Writer Calls Tea Party the ‘Hezbollah Faction’ of the GOP

Meh.
There are many out there that get all worked up when liberals begin name calling,
But when New York Times writer Thomas Friedman calls Tea Party Republicans;
The “Hezbollah faction” of the GOP on a “suicide mission,”
It’s simply because his side isĀ losing the intellectual argument on the debt ceiling debate.
Alas, that is the Tea Party. It is so lacking in any aspiration for American greatness, so dominated by the narrowest visions for our country and so ignorant of the fact that it was not tax cuts that made America great but our unique public-private partnerships across the generations. If sane Republicans do not stand up to this Hezbollah faction in their midst, the Tea Party will take the G.O.P. on a suicide mission. No American politician was more allergic to debt or taxes than Thomas Jefferson, but he also appreciated the need to have the resources to make the Louisiana Purchase and insisted that on his tombstone it be written that he founded the University of Virginia.
When the left cries terrorist, racist, sexist, homophobic or whatever derogatory term they so choose,
It’s a signal that they know that they have have already lost debate.

Friedman is finally correct about something. The GOP cult is being seen for what it really is: A smallish group of spirit worshipers hell bent on harming America simply for electing a black man. Always party first for the GOP. Always.
I see we have another loser in the intellectual debate.
I think I have finally figured out why Thomas Friedman is so angry. He has the arms and hands of a 5 year old. Seriously, what is up with that tiny little hand?
