Bachmann, Santorum Slam Romney on Abortion

Pro Life Pledge.
Decrying the pledge as “overly broad” with “unintended consequences,”
GOP Presidential candidate Mitt Romney has refused to sign the SBA Pro-Life Pledge.
And some his fellow Republican are criticizing him for his seemingly pro-Abortion stance.
Michele Bachmann:
“It is distressing that Governor Romney refuses to sign the SBA Pledge, even while claiming to be pro-life. The excuses for not signing clearly continue the doubts about his leadership and commitment to ending the practice of abortion – particularly for a candidate who ran as pro-choice for the Senate and governorship of Massachusetts.”
Rick Santorum:
“This past Monday night at the Republican presidential debate, I was asked about Governor Romney’s pro-life conversion, and I gave him the benefit of the doubt. I apparently spoke too soon. It is incredibly disappointing that Governor Romney chose not to defend those who cannot defend themselves.” After Romney explained his position on the pledge, Santorum said he found the explanation lacking.
Already skating on political thin ice with conservatives over RomneyCare,
Mitt Romney’s pledge refusal is making it even more difficult for conservatives to support him.
The Mormon’s unwillingness to take a strong pro-life stance will alienate the GOP base.
The former Massachusetts needs to throw social-cons some sort of policy red meat,
Otherwise conservative candidates will continue to attack Romney on these issues.

I think this is all to true it is distressing that a potential canidate for our country is allowing murder http://freedomist.com/2011/06/romney-criticized-by-bachmann-following-refusal-to-sign-pro-life-pledge/
