Out With the Old.

Although Orrin Hatch attempted to repair his image with conservatives at CPAC,

Utah voters are not buying what the 76 year old is selling.

After 31 years of Hatch’s representation in the Senate,

Beehive State voters are ready for a change.

The poll, conducted among 600 registered Utah Voters from Feb. 16-19, shows 54% think it’s time for someone else to take the seat Hatch has occupied for 31 years.

Adding to his bad news,

Hatch is currently tied with his most likely challenger.

The person most rumored to mount a challenge to Hatch in 2012 is Rep. Jason Chaffetz.

If Hatch were to face off in a primary election against Chaffetz, his prospects would be extremely iffy at this point, as the two are basically tied among Republican voters.

Yes, Orrin Hatch will be another Bob Bennett.

For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. - Ephesians 6: 12-13
