Obama Administration Sues Sheriff Joe Arpaio

Simply Because He Did His Job.

First the Department of Justice sued the State of Arizona.

Now they are going after “America’s Toughest Sheriff”, Joe Arpaio.

The Justice Department on Thursday filed a lawsuit against Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio, alleging that the Arizona Republican has refused to turn over to investigators documents about his illegal-immigration sweeps of Hispanic neighborhoods.

Federal investigators have been looking into Arpaio’s operation of the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Department for more than a year and have repeatedly accused him of not cooperating.
The suit, accuses Arpaio of “unprecedented” defiance of federal authorities examining reports of unconstitutional search and seizures and discriminatory practices against Hispanics, including English-only policies in the jails and detention centers under his control.

In an example of the utter and complete arrogance of a government run amuck; the DOJ’s suit against Arpaio, much like its suit against Arizona, list not one iota of evidence and makes no charges of any violations of State of Federal law.

They simply are suing Sheriff Joe for “defiance“.

If that is the criteria, how long will it be before they haul us all off to jail?
