Blame Bush Strategy Losing Legitimacy

The White House strategy of blaming former President George W. Bush for everything that has gone wrong with this country, while strategically taking credit for his success, is slowly losing credibility with he American people.
Up until very recently, voters were buying what the Democrats were selling; the Bush economy, the Bush recession, the Bush Deficit, but after 18 months in office, the chickens are finally coming home to roost.
A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 48% of Likely U.S. Voters now think Obama’s policies are to blame for the continuing bad economy, up three points from last month. Forty-seven percent (47%) say the recession that began under Bush is at fault.
The change in blame is a result of “voters across the country expressing stronger belief that the economy is getting worse rather than better“.
To make matters worse, 52% of independents, those voters who ultimately decide elections, believe that our current economic mess is a result of the Obama Administration’s policies.
This is bad news for Democrats already limping into November’s mid-term elections.
