Late last night (or early this morning, depending in your perspective),
Basil Marceaux appeared on the Jimmy Kimmel Show.
Quite honestly, Kimmel ruined the interview.
If you are going to have someone like Basil Marceaux on the show you need to shut up and let the man speak.
Even though Kimmel ruined the interview, as with anything Basil Marceaux, this is definitely must watch video.

Sheeeeeeeesh…..In looking at the “Sgt. Pepper” pic………I thought Captain Kangaroo had passed away. I love the wings on the lapel too, I guess he just had his first airplane ride.

Those are Marine Corp gold jump wings. That means he was a paratrooper (guy who jumped out of airplanes) and completed a certian number of combat equipment (jumping with 100 plus pounds of gear and a weapon) airborne jumps and night jumps to earn his gold jump wings. Granted he’s a cartoon character but do some research before you say something ignorant
I have to say that Kimmel could have made that a lot worse than it was. I have to give him credit for not going down the long, nasty road that Letterman would have
The interview would have been soooo much better if Kimmel would have gotten out of the way and had just let Basil Marceaux do what Basil Marceaux does best; talk politics.
Considering his own website said he was only in the corps (not corpse!) for 2 years…seems like he had a busy two years if he earned those jump wings……to be honest and tactful, he doesn’t seem like much more than plain grunt material…don’t knock me please, I served 11 years combined Army/Navy/active/reserve…
Good Ol Basil! Sadly he lost his run for governor but he is still in the hunt for state senate, mayor, city commissioner, school board member, sheriff etc.. Basically he runs for any and every office that comes open in his home town. He does have some good ideas but the behind the scenes guys would ruin his admin if elected.
BasilMarceaux.com got a taste of Stardom and he liked it; he’ll be back.
