Liberals Schultz, Sekoff Throw Rangel Under the Bus

Calls for Charlie Rangel’s resignation are getting louder and are now coming from the far left.
MSNBC talk show host Ed Schultz and Huffington Post editor Roy Sekoff joined the ever growing chorus of pols begging Rangel to do the right thing.
Ed Schultz sums it up quickly.
“Mr. Rangel you need to step down; you need to resign from the Congress.”
The Huffington Post’s Sekoff is more worried about the effects that an ethics trial will have on Democrats prospects in the 2010 elections than Rangel’s egregious ethics violations.
“It’s an enormous problem, Ed. Heading into 2010, the Democrats need another full-blown ethics trial like Mel Gibson needs another tape released.”
The entire left has reached a panicked, throw Charlie under the bus mode. There are only two choices that Charlie Rangel can make at the moment; either resign and save some face, or stand firm and severely damage the Democrat brand in the November elections.
I think Ed Schultz speaks for the entire left when he says;
“Sorry, Charlie, you’ve got to take one for the team and step aside, it’s over.”
